We’ve Moved!!

Hello scrappers! Hope you are all having a fun and sunny summer. We sure are here at For Scrap Sake, having just celebrated our 3^rd anniversary. Wow does time fly! Thank you to all of our loyal customers for your patronage over the past three years and we hope to serve you for many more.

 

   

First, we have some very exciting news to share. On Wednesday, July 28^th For Scrap Sake will re-open its doors in our new location next to Overwaitea Foods in the Thunderbird Mall, bigger and better than ever. We are thrilled to welcome Kelley’s Chocolates to the store and will be carrying a fantastic selection of treats for all tastes. We also now offer specialty coffees, teas and cold beverages for you to enjoy as well.

 

We have received new stock during our moving “hiatus” including lines of paper, embellishments and more, with even more following soon. Also arriving in the near future will be an assortment of giftware for you to peruse.

 

Lastly, but certainly not least, we are delighted to welcome Debbie to our team at For Scrap Sake. So come by and say hello, grab a coffee and check it out.  We’d love to see you all there!

Class Pictures

We’re so excited to be able to finally offer some classes again!  Here are just a few pictures of what we will be doing.

The all new Kaiser Craft Advent Calendar is awesome! They have outdone themselves (and this is a bestseller in most stores across Canada and the U.S.)  It is wooden with strong cardboard advent boxes.  We are painting ours but bare looks great too.

We are painting ours, you can choose any colour you would like.  Here is a sample of one that was done, not by us, but it gives you a little idea of what you can do.  The sky is the limit with this terrific calendar.

We have to fantastic Bo Bunny projects.  One is Christmas themed and one winter themed.  They are both gorgeous!  They are also both edgy albums.  Here is a picture of the Holly Jolly Edgy Album –

This one is the Snowy Serenade Winter Wonderland Edgy Album.  I’ve just finished doing this one and I LOVE, love, love it!! The papers are beautiful and the embellishments finish it off perfectly.

Classes

I know, we are SO late this year with classes.  We will be offereing a variety of Christmas and Winter classes within the next month.  Please check our calendar for dates, times and prices.  These classes will be offered one time only so sign up quickly!  We have many terriffic classes ready for spring and we will post these just after Christmas.  Illness and the loss of some loved ones has made our Christmas classes quite limited this year.  We apologize and hope to make it up during the one day sale on December 12th, 2009.  Stay tuned!

It’s Our 2nd Birthday!

It’s hard to believe that 2 years have passed by so quickly!  Looking at pictures of when our store first opened we really notice how less room we have and much more stock.  Isn’t that a great reason for a HUGE 2nd Birthday Sale?!   Starting July 7th (our actual birthday) and continuing til July 31, 2009 we will be reducing prices on countless items in our store to make room for new stock on it’s way or coming soon!   Surprises throughout the week of the 7th of July will be held in the store during our regular shopping hours - 11:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.  so mark it on your calendar!

This is our way of thanking our loyal customers old and new that continue to support us.  We thank you and hope you drop in and help us celebrate.

May Weekend Crop

Due to a death in the family For Scrap Sake’s Weekend Crop will have to be postponed.  We know that you all have loads of pictures that you would like to see in albums so please drop us a quick email to: information@scrapsake.com or pop into the store and let us know what dates are good for you and we will re-book.

For any of you that don’t know, we have a fully stocked workshop that includes the big shot, cuttlebug, dies, embossing folders, the cricut and much much more.  The best part, it is free for weekend crops.  During regular hours we do charge a small fee for the cricut only. 
We have had SO much new stock that has arrived in the past month so drop in and take a peek.

We are sorry for the inconvenience and hope to hear from you soon.

We have posted our classes on the calendar at our website. www.scrapsake.com

Once at the site, please click on calendar and then go to the class you may be interested in and click it once more.  It will take you to a more detailed description of the class.

We will be changing the date to April 28th.  (The Easter cards will be replaced with others)

You won’t want to miss the CD Envelope Mailer, a great keepsake for yourself or to give away.

 Please RSVP for your classes.  Classes are prepaid and are non refundable but a kit will be available the day after the class if you are unable to attend.  If you can find a person to fill your space that is great too.

Spring is on the way

I keep repeating this to myself, it is on the way!  If you are like me you have had enough of the cold and snow.  I am sipping a nice hot cup of tea while looking at some of the fabulous new paper that has arrived!  We have entire new lines of Bo Bunny and they are great!  Something for everyone.  They are double sided papers and they are flying off of our shelves!  Abby Road, Grease Monkey, It’s My Party, U Bug Me and Pet Shop.  Embellishments to match are on the way. Also in is the Cosmo Cricket Girl Friday line.  Too cute!  We have the all new spinner cards, new flowers from Prima and the new Fiskars Push and Print Stamp Factory with accessories.  New Say it in Crystals and gorgeous 2009 stamps.  We have new products arriving weekly and love getting them. 

Many people have been using For Scrap Sake’s free workshop area and tools (small fee for Cricut) we have new cartridges in that are unbelievable. 
For Scrap Sake is on the list to be a reseller for Sure Cuts Alot, a very very cool program that lets you use your true type fonts with your cricut!  Pop into the store for more information. 

We are having our weekend (sleepover if you want) crop at the mall on March 27 - 29th.  Saturday the 28th will be a little more themed this time with a few classes and fun challenges in the afternoon. 

Speaking of classes, I know, so many of you have been asking about them.  We have loads of them lined up but due to my schedule they have been on hold.  I now have more help with my mall “duties” and daily tasks so look for our class schedule in your inbox soon!  You will love what we have lined up.  Stay warm, think spring and keep on scrappin’.

It’s time for another crop!

For Scrap Sake is hosting another weekend (sleepover if you want) Crop at the Thunderbird Mall.  It will be located in the old Reitman’s store.  The crop starts at 6 p.m. Friday Feb. 6th and goes til 2ish on Sunday Feb. 8th.  From beginner to pro, everyone is welcome to come.  If you are behind or haven’t scrapbooked for a while this is a great way to get some fantastic inspiration.  The store will be open late (VERY late) both nights.

Again, I have not been keeping everyone up to date on what is new.  Our big CHA Trade-show wrapped up the middle of last week, we have loads of new product on order and have received a bit of it already!  We also have some new Valentine lines of papers, stickers and embellishment that arrived today.   If you have a chance, come on in and have a peek.  Hope to see you at the crop!
